The Proper Care and Feeding of Lucky Persaud

By Giggles Anderson

  1. Lucky Persaud goes out, on his leash, to piddle and plunk first thing in the morning. There are bags if you need to “scoop.”
  2. He usually comes right back in and gets in his house (large cage).
  3. Dump a bag of 5 biscuits in his cage. This is a necessity. If you forget, he will be spitting/coughing up bile when you let him out.
  4. You will NOT need to walk him again until you return home AFTER WORK.
  5. Please keep him in his cage. Dogs, as you know, are prone to “marking” their territory. I really dont want him trying to mark your house.
  6. Lucky goes out to piddle and plunk AFTER WORK.
  7. He is a small dog and does not need a lot of additional exercise. Be aware that his skin is VERY sensitive to sunlight and that he will froth/drool if he is taken on long walks. Usually, we go out long enough for him to piddle and plunk. Also, be aware that when he walks in grass, he gets chiggers. You cant see them, but you know if they are “bugging” him because he will have saliva soaked paws. Usually, I douse his feet in diluted vinegar, let sit for a minute or so…then rinse with water, then dry. I packed a towel in the backpack.
  8. After his walk, put a bag of Science Diet Light into his food tray. He is a self-directed eater. He eats when he is ready and stops when he is full. The really small kibble food is there for EMERGENCIES Only.
  9. Usually, he goes out for his FINAL piddle and plunk around 9:45pm.
  10. Lucky Persaud is an indoor dog and has always been the ONLY ANIMAL in the house. He gets really stressed out when exposed to other animals. Be aware that when he gets stressed out, he is agitated, scratches, refuses to eat, refuses to play, etc.
  11. I gave him his Frontline today so ticks and fleas should NOT be a problem. Again, he’s an indoor dog and doesnt spend time with other animals or outside long enough to pick up parasites.
  12. Lucky Persaud does not snack. He should not eat table food. He will eat table food but he may also throw it all up or fart it out later. This is rather unpleasant. I just play with him, hug him, talk to him, bark at him, etc.
  13. I did send his travel bag. He is accustomed to sitting on my left leg when I drive. I am pretty sure you prefer that he ride in his bag.
  14. There is a pink/green ball in the clear backpack and a knit doll in the side of the travel bag. He prefers actual attention to self soothing.
  15. BEWARE: Lucky Persaud loves to shred paper.
